PS I'd like to make clear it's not low energy usage that is bad, but huge abrupt changes like Earth hour.

Of course, Earth hour is green, but dangerous. Just take into account that electricity supply system will suddenly go though decrease of usage (that mean change in energy plants regime to ineffective ones, i.e. wasting resourses), than sudden rise of usage (again change in energy plants regime). Technically, this would make the case of something going wrong (nuclear plant meltdown included) much more likely. If you don't believe me, you could ask specialists in it, those you trust. So it's green, but useless and dangerous for public. Possibly it should be treated as sabotage since the consequences could be nearly the same if smth goes wrong.
Surprised to see this misconception in country with such a high technical level.
